A strong event listing answers the questions someone would ask before leaving home. Whether you are planning a creator market, a community gathering, or a local showcase, clear details help people decide whether the event is for them.
Get the essentials in one place
Prepare the event name, organizer, date, start and end times, venue name, full address, and official information or ticket link. Include the time zone for online events. If an event repeats, list the confirmed dates rather than implying that every week is the same.
Explain what people can expect
Describe the activities in plain language. Is this a performance, a workshop, a networking event, or a market? Who is it intended for? Tell people about age restrictions, registration requirements, and whether entry is free or paid. Avoid presenting an event as free when a required purchase applies.
Include practical access details
Ask the venue about accessible entrances, seating, restrooms, and transportation or parking information. Share confirmed details and provide an organizer contact for questions. For outdoor events, explain the rain plan if one has been decided.
Send usable images
A clear event photo or flyer helps people recognize the event. Confirm that you have permission to share it. Put essential information in the written submission too, so visitors do not have to read small text inside an image to find a date or address.
Keep the listing current
If the time, venue, price, or status changes, notify the publication and update your official page. A cancellation should be just as easy to find as the original announcement.
Submit a community event to Your Local Circuit. Submissions are reviewed before publication. An event listing does not imply YLC sponsorship or an endorsement of the organizer.
